In Elisa Carutti’s practice, artistic creation reflects life itself: every gesture, mark, and color emerges in response to what came before, forming a continuous dialogue between intention and chance. Whether in painting or printmaking, the unexpected is never an error but an opening—an event that guides the next move and makes each work singular and unrepeatable. In an age shaped by digital perfection and automated images, her work reaffirms the centrality of the human hand, of fragility and sensitivity, transforming the act of making into an exercise of presence, attention, and care.

Elisa Carutti was born in Milan in 1991.She holds a BA in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, Milan (2014), and an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, London (2018).
Her work has been exhibited in the UK, Italy, France, and Greece. She has received several awards, including an ERASMUS Bursary at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris (2013), and has participated in international residencies. Her work was published internationally in the Spring 2018 issue of «ArtMazeMag, London».
